Szilvia Bolla (1992, Budapest, Hungary) is a visual artist working in Budapest and The Hague. She graduated from the Fine Art Photography course at the University of the Arts London, Camberwell College of Arts and Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Budapest. Recent exhibitions include The Wrong Biennale, World Wide Web; Victoria & Albert Museum, London; Trafó Gallery; Art Quarter Budapest; Kieselbach Gallery; Easttopics Gallery, Budapest; Stefan Gierowski Foundation, Warsaw; Unseen Photography Festival, Amsterdam and Vorspiel/Transmediale, Berlin. She has been an artist in residence at Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris; International Studio & Curatorial Program, New York and Petrohradska kolektiv, Prague. She's one half of Alagya, a world built together with Áron Lődi with the aim to construct new possible forms of literacy to decode planetary life and identity in the post-capitalocene through collaborative work and interplay between sculpture and text.
